Ramon Airport, named after Ilan and Asaf Ramon (the first Israeli Astronaut and his son) is unofficially also known as Eilat-Ramon Airport.

It is an international airport located in the Timna Valley, 18 km (11 mi) north of Eilat and is the second busiest in Israel.

Ramon Airport will begin operating regular flights to European capitals of Rome and Vienna, with the possibility of more destinations being added in the future.
